OK who threw the stink bomb in here?

come on a believer, everyone knows it was you so own up to it and teacher will not be cross!.

this is exactly what seems to be happening, a believer runs in drops the stink bomb and runs out again...only to pear around the door when he/she deems it safe to do so.

I said I've been in the Truth my whole life but didn't research other religions beliefs until a couple weeks ago. The JW makes the most sense to me because of my understanding of the Bible. Regarding the 1975 thread my stance is that while many were expecting it, it was never said to be a definite thing or was it said that Jehovah told them it would be that year.

I am not on this site as much as when I first was, it seems you all are too far gone.

It's not my responsibility to change you're guys opinions I'll leave it to Jehovah to judge when he's ready. I'm just going to keep enjoying life and wait on it because I sincerely do believe it's close. The president that was just elected and all the other signs make it convincing to me.

New KH being built near where I live

there are two kingdom halls in two parts of the county i live in.

one is smaller and their are already about to begin work to replace with a new one.. just posting because i noticed posts saying their wasn't new khs being built.

and i learned this today from someone..

In 1969 the Watchtower magazine in Czech began publishing a series of articles based on the book Life Everlasting—In Freedom of the Sons of God. Chapter 1, under the subheading “Six Thousand Years of Human Existence Closing,”contained an explanation of the Jubilee and of Bible chronology. This material influenced some in a positive way; it also led to many questions and much speculation.

The office in Czechoslovakia sent a letter dated February 22, 1972, to all congregations. It set out a lengthy explanation of reasons why we should not make any definite assertions about the date when Armageddon will strike. It pointed out that no publication of the Society had said that Armageddon will come in a certain year. The letter concluded: “Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world are familiar with these facts, and no one should add any personal claims as to what will happen before or during the year 1975. There are no Scriptural grounds for any claims, and they could have a detrimental effect on the preaching work. And if you believe the JW aren't right why not just talk to you're family privately about it. Then let them decide. Win win no disfellowship and you got to tell you're view to whoever you wanted to.

Krismalone Terrible analogy. The org wants justice done to molesters. Don't judge off a couple of peoples actions the entire org. The failed prophecie that was a unfortunate error, but the org doesn't hide it said that. They mentioned it at an assembly a couple years back. The donation fund isn't a lie, no one has to give money if they don't want to.

Idk anything about the letters you speak of. But I know their is something about it on JWfacts. A lot of that stuff on that site isn't true, and you shouldn't judge the org as it is today on the past.

Why Finding the One True Religion is Impossible

jws like to think they have found the one true religion.

but like so many other religious people, it's usually the religion they were born into, the only religion they know because it's the first one they found or, at the most, one of two or three (typically the second one after they left their first / born-in faith).. the trouble is, there simply isn't enough time to explore and investigate each and everyone of the many thousands of belief systems, religions and sects around the world.. think of it this way: which is the best neighbourhood to live in where you would be most happy and most successful?

not just in the city or even the country you are in, but the entire world.. how would you ever know?
